The ScintiTRACER XL2 is an environmental gamma dose rate and spectroscopic probe designed to deliver optimal performance for routine and emergency management in various situations. Embracing a new approach to environmental monitoring, this probe offers quick installation and high autonomy. Due to its extremely low power consumption, the ScintiTRACER XL2 can operate completely autonomously with a 10 Wp solar panel. In the absence of a solar panel or sunlight, the internal battery provides sufficient power for the program for a minimum of 8 days.
The NaI(Tl) scintillator, which replaces the low-dose Geiger-Müller (GM) tube used in the standard GammaTRACER XL2, provides excellent sensitivity, especially useful for the detection of small dose rate increases in low radiation backgrounds. Thanks to its characteristics, this scintillator can detect subtle changes in a low radiation background that might go unnoticed with less sensitive technologies.
Additionally, this scintillator can transmit a detailed gamma spectrum to the data center, thereby facilitating an in-depth analysis of detected events. This ability to identify nuclides is a major advantage, particularly in situations where it is crucial to know the exact nature of the present radiation to assess risks and take appropriate measures.
Key Features
